Okay, here's the thing:  'If I Don't' has never been released fully, so, in order to incorporate it into my little story, I had to make up words to the second verse and on.  Probably the worst song writing I've ever done, so my apologies.  You really don't need to read past the first chorus, so ... yeah.

Updated 10.7; I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!  You all probably thought I fell off the face of the planet or something!  I'm so behind on every single one of my stories that I've wanted to post (aka, the birthday story, this story, the newest one and the one that I need a co-writer on) and I know that I can't really excuse my absent-mindedness, but there really is a reason - I got promoted!  Woo!  Big bad manager now ... oooo, haha.  But anyway - on with the story, please accept my big sorries for not posting it sooner and again, I'm still looking for a co-writer!  There are a few people that want it, but I do want to keep my options open, just to see if the one I have in mind will work :)  I'm gonna give the option another week or so and then you'll all know what I have cooked up in my brain!

Another update.  Woo, that JC appearance got me going =]  Hearing him sing definitely made me remember why he was my favorite.  And watching him at the guitar.  And piano.  Don't be surprised if another impromptu concert appears in another chapter sooner or later.  Who else thinks the album needs to be released ASAP?  'If Only You Were Lonely' was so much better than I thought it would be -and I knew it would be a favorite before I even heard it!

And PS - I added a photo of 'Kira', who actually is my friend's baby, Miss Miley Ann.  I just thought of her when I was thinking of who to model this baby after, and though her hair isn't really evident (Miley's is dirty blonde in the photo, but you can't really see what she has that can come across as hair, haha) - she's the chubby little baby I want Kira to be like =]  If you have seen my myspace/facebook accounts, I'm sure you've seen what Miley looks like now -   My chunker munkers.  <3  Enjoy, all!

I am so, so sorry for all of the delays and empty promises.  All I can say as my excuse is this: heartbreak sucks.  But you know what? You live, you learn.  Thank you Alanis for that very true statement.

But the good thing about the heartbreak is I got to thinking and got pretty inspired.  I'm pretty sure that this story is going to be my focal point (along with yet another story [that is a sequel, ps!] that will hopefully get my gears working again with the other stories that seem to be at a stand still ...) so hopefully, when I get another few days in a row off, I'll be updating again.  And again.  And again.

This has been a long time coming.  I have revisited the love affair of Lily and JC so many times over the years, wondering if I had completed it, where they had ended up, what they'd be doing, and what kind of life they'd be leading.  I have revisited it often the last couple of months - and I fell in love with the story all over again.  Granted, I cringed at the grammatical errors and typos, but I was 22 when I started this story - writing is messy, imaginations are messy - typing faster than my brain computes is messy.  

After the last revisit, I decided to write a tell-all, be-all for the two of them.  It's long - be forewarned, but it closes loose ends.  This might be the end of *this* story, but it's not the end of their story; I have found so many pieces that I would love to branch off of that in the near future, you may hear from them again.  This story wasn't so much about JC anymore (but good Lord in Heaven was he a good muse - still is) as it was me rekindling my love for reading and for writing; it did just that.

Revisiting this was bittersweet - recognizing that it had been so long since I had updated and that how much time had passed altogether.  I was young, single and in love with ... well, someone who isn't my husband (haha).  I have a family now; one that keeps me busy - but this?  This kees me sane and like an old friend, it was nice to rekindle that fire and play around with it like it had never left.

I'm not sure who will read this or if itll be read at all - but if you do, know that htis page has had some of the most talented, supportive and creative writers out there.  This was (and still is) my safe space, a place to gain inspiration and creativity - and I have the GOATS, the alumni, the retirees to thank for that.
