YAY! She's goin out to dinner with JC! Happy day! Aww I liked this story. These lines here "not just because he’s a stranger, but because he’s a man – and not just a man, but a man I’m seemingly attracted to." True that. :D

And bonus points for these lines here, I liked them "It took me all these years to build this fortress of a wall around me and it took him an overnight stay at my place to break it all down." :)

Looks like JC got some inspiration from that painting. And look she invited him inside, I personally don't drink coffee myself, cappucino or something, but not straight-up coffee. So far so good though, I'm liking this. :)

Oh, good. He’s aware that his noise gets out there every single damn night.

“Secondly,” he continued, “I work with music. So I’m not just simply having fun here. I’m also doing some work. So if I do as you say, then that would mean compromising my job for a stranger.”

“Oh.” I stood there, speechless.

“Ever heard of earplugs?” he asked. “They’re pretty cheap.”

Seriously? I raised an eyebrow at him. “Ever thought of moving to an apartment with soundproof walls?” I asked back before I shook my head at him and walked away. Jerk. He won and went on singing – until about a quarter past midnight, mind you – and I had to suffer all night.
