He is the figure that we step over on our way down the street. He is the unmoving lump underneath the pages of a newspaper, asleep on a park bench. He is Nowhere Man, an invisible being that people choose not to see.

Through an avalanche of events- a Domino effect- JC Chasez is homeless. Helpless. Poor and lonely, he refuses to think past the current day, the here and the now. He thinks he doesn't deserve any better than what he' got until he is visited by an angel named Phoenix that helps him make it better.

So what happens after he climbs up the tower and rescues her?

She rescues him right back.

This is a sequel to my Awesome August 2010 story, Rescue Me. It's been almost a year since journalist Gabby Moreno packed up and "got the hell out of LA", headed for New York. She hasn't forgotten about meeting JC under the worst possible circumstances. She also hasn't forgotten the promise he made to her before she left-- though she never imagined he would actually keep it. 

JC hasn't stopped thinking about Gabby since she walked out of his house that morning. It's taken him almost a year to decide to keep his promise to visit her. After a year apart, will there still be a spark?

Will this be really, really good... or really, really bad?

JC's running from something. Shelby's got something to hide. 

Singer, songwriter, Producer, now Music Director, JC is doing a favor for his good friend, pop superstar Rod Phillips. He's excited but nervous, since he's never done music on this scale before, but it's a challenge, and a challenge is what he's craving after his life falls apart in LA. He's back in Orlando, taking on the biggest project of his life when he meets someone that he simply can't resist. 

Shelby Morris has relocated from Miami to Orlando, leaving behind an old life, old drama, old pain, and starting over, but deep guilt and fear still rule her life and haunt her sleep. She's running from someone, hiding from something, wiating for the day that her past catches up with her.

When it does, Shelby fears will JC shun her, disgusted by the woman she used to be.

I felt like writing something so I used a prompt generator and got this:

"You are instantly attracted to the well-dressed person sharing your elevator, but could never think how to initiate a conversation. So the two of you ignore each other as the elevator pumps up New York's Chrysler building. Slowing to a stop on the 117th floor, there's a blackout!"

I changed some details and... this is what came out! ENJOY!
