Author's Chapter Notes:

I want a Sunday kind of love

A love to last past Saturday night

And I'd like to know it's more than love at first sight

And I want a Sunday kind of love

Etta James - A Sunday Kind of Love

Sunlight poured into the bedroom of their guest house. Sam was awake with her eyes closed, spooning with JC with the slightest bit of space between their bodies. She was taking in the feeling of his body against hers, the softness of his breath on her skin, the sounds he made while he was asleep. She wanted it burned in her brain to hold her over until the next time they would be together.

JC gently stirred, pulling her in closer with his arm so her body was pressed up against his again. He mumbled and smiled slightly, digging his head into the pillow, letting out a low hum. He was slowly waking up.

Sam smiled as he pulled her in, letting out a soft groan as she felt him not fully asleep against her backside. As she stretched a tiny bit in his arms, she felt the soreness in her thighs and hips, with bruises in various places from the digging in of his fingers. She made a soft noise until she finally whispered, "Hi blue eyes."

He opened his eyes slowly to look down at her wrapped up in his arms and he made a little grin. Seeing her with him would never get old. He could barely let out a mumble,"Good morning baby." He went to turn on his side and grimaced, feeling the pull of his muscles. He used muscles outside of the ones he used in rehearsal and the gym.

Sam had rolled over on her back, watching him with a little grin. "I guess you're moving a little bit slowly like I am."

He smirked and closed his eyes, stretching out long with a drawn out "Mmmmmm" that escaped his lips.

She smirked softly and leaned up to place a trail of kisses from his chest up to his adams apple. She landed back in place next to him, needing a moment to watch him and think about how she was feeling.

He couldn't help but grin at the way her lips felt on his chest, and he opened his eyes to look at her once again. He turned on his side all the way and smiled, draping his arm around her. "I like the feeling of being sore because of you."

"I do too honey," she grinned, snuggling into his body a little bit more. "I won't forget it, that's for sure. All my bruises and battle wounds."

"Oh I know you won't forget," he grabbed at her hips where he had the night before and pulled her body against his, putting his forehead to hers. "And if I have to make you remember again, I will."

She smirked. "Mmm, you've left your mark on me Joshua Chasez. That's a definite."

"Good. I wish it were permanent so that every other man would know." He smirked so hard, then leaned in to leave her with a gentle kiss.

She laughed all soft against his, returning gentle tugs against his lips. "I pay them no mind. You're my lover baby, just you."

He smiled after the last kiss, then took a few moments just to nuzzle his nose to hers. "I hope you know that I pay no attention to any other woman but you... you're my one and only girl."

"I know," she smiled. "I'll probably mess this up you know. I haven't been someone's one and only in a hot minute. So feel free to tell me that I'm an awful girlfriend if I am." She grinned up at him.

He blinked a few times, then shook his head with a short laugh. "I can't even begin to fathom reacting to that last statement," he pulled back and studied her as his fingers played at the bare skin on her side. "You're the best thing that's happened to me, so awful isn't allowed in your vocabulary."

She smiled. "I'll leave it behind here in Napa. Never let it come out for you again, sweetheart." She gazed up at him and smiled softly. He was so different from the other men she had been with, especially her last ex boyfriend. She knew she shouldn't worry about him, so she shook the idea out of her head before she let out a soft sigh. "I don't want to get out of bed."

JC pouted. "I don't want you to leave me alone here in this bed... do you have to?"

"I mean, I could tell Calvin Klein that my boyfriend's Calvins are more important to me." She said teasingly.

"Oh my god, stop it," he laughed, "You could walk in there wearing just them." He sat up a little bit to stretch his arms out over his head. His muscles popped out and his bones cracked a little bit and popped.

"I mean I totally could," she laughed softly as she sat up next to him. She watched him stretching and it made her smile. She had this deep feeling of wanting to wake up next to him every morning now... she was digging the feeling she had.

He watched her and cracked his neck, looking down at the sheets and sighing softly. "At least I'll get to have breakfast with you. We can have them deliver it to us again. I plan on spending every last moment with you that I can."

She smiled, tilting her head to kiss his forehead. "Sounds perfect sweetheart." She stretched herself before climbing out of bed. As she stood up, her legs buckled with the soreness in her thighs.

JC watched with a big grin and a low laugh. "You're welcome."

Sam laughed, looking over her shoulder at him. "I can't remember the last time I was this sore," she smirked, "So thanks baby." She walked slowly into the bathroom.

JC yawned and stood up, pulling his shorts on. He walked over to the menu on the counter in the kitchen, bringing it back into the bedroom to look over. He walked over to grab his phone from the nightstand, but it wasn't there. He called out to her in the bathroom, "Baby is there anything you are craving in specific?"

"Carbs please!" she called out from the bathroom. She was washing her hands, then splashed a bit of water on her face to finish waking up. She walked back into the room to see him holding the menu.

"Atta girl," he grinned, "My girl." He grabbed at her hand before she could get too far away from him, as if she were going to keep walking past him. He pulled her up against him at his side as he read the menu. "Napa Morning Spread: Pancakes, waffles, bacon, eggs, fruit medley and a side of potatoes with a tray of select sauces to compliment all..."

"Sounds like the fuel our bodies need to function." She leaned in for a soft kiss.

"Mmm," he stood there with the menu, then let his lips take over the kiss, stepping up to her to tower over her and stand his ground.

Her smile faded as his kiss took over again. His lips were lethal to her every single time. She gave his hand a little squeeze and took one more nibble before she pulled away. "Ugh. What are you doing to me Joshua Chasez?"

He made a soft noise, licking his lips as he looked down at her. "What do you mean? You're the one that's ruining me." He had to let her go and walk over to the room phone to call and order breakfast. "Yes, and put a rush on it. Charge to the room." He hung up sternly.

She grinned so cute. He was so sexy when he was assertive talking on the phone like that. "It's a two way street baby."

He grinned, walking back to her; his hands went right back to her hips where they gripped tight again, "Oh, if I could just ruin you one more time..." He stopped thoughtfully, "But I won't."

She laughed softly. "Baby, I need to be able to walk to my plane." She smirked and nuzzled her face to his, "But there will be next time."

"Next time," he kissed with a grin, "Which, do we even know when that will be?" He let go of her hand finally, reaching for the hotel bathrobe for her to put on to be covered when the food arrived.

"Mmm," she laughed softly at the way he tossed the robe to her, slipping it on and tying it up. "I'm supposed to be coming out to LA in 3 weeks to do some work." She powered on her phone for the first time in two days to look at her calendar, "But I'll see if I have anything before that."

"Please do baby, since we are clearly going to need to pencil our time in together right now." He walked to his suitcase to pull out a pair of jeans to throw on quickly. He grabbed his phone and powered it on as well.

Sam smiled, "You said you wanted to book us a trip in February, so I'll be open for some daddy time," her little sing song voice trailed off as her phone powered on. She had about 55 text messages and emails coming through. "Ohh boy."

JC grinned, "Ohhhh we are goiiiiing away in February." He laughed softly until he too began hearing the dings on his phone.

"Justin Timberlake." she sighed, sitting down on her bed with her phone. "The video."

JC walked over to his backpack and pulled out his laptop before settling on the bed with it. "Oh man, he released it last night?"

He opened up his Internet and clicked on the link in an email from the record label.

The screen went black as the music from Tell Me began. JC's jaw dropped. "WHAT THE FUCK JUSTIN!"

Sam looked from the computer to JC. "Did you know this was happening?" She furrowed her brows.

All in black and white, the video opened with JC's verse, and there they were at the gala. You could see everything running through their bodies as they slow danced, and how the shift in her eyes and body language was gradual. The video shifted to the Malibu house, where JC walked her out to the beach as the rain poured down on them.

He couldn't help but smirk as he watched. They were hot as hell. He looked over at Sam. "I had no idea," he put the computer down on the bed so they could both watch while he scrolled through the messages on his phone. "Justin is a fucking idiot. But that video looks good though."

Sam laughed softly, the Internet had blown up overnight with video stills and reposts on social media and message boards. She had been tagged hundreds of times. "Justin made a firestorm. Holy crap." She laughed softly then looked back at the screen. She bit her own lip, watching the native chemistry flow right out of the screen.

JC was staring at his laptop with his mouth slightly open, it was the first time he had seen the finished product and he couldn't take his eyes away. He was speechless and goosebumps began forming on his arms. Sam rested her head on his shoulder as the talking part of the song began. There she was, walking into the bathtub. The look in JC's eyes, the flash of lust and surprise, it made her bite her lip hard. When the shots got intense, flashes of color superimposed over the black and white, as if to demonstrate the passion reaching its peak. She was speechless as well, letting her feelings and the goosebumps take over.

JC swallowed hard, leaning down toward the screen. "Oh fuck."

Sam bit her lip again, fanning herself slightly. She had never seen a music video quite like this, especially not from a boy band.

JC tilted his head. "We need to hire this director again. All of this looks so fucking real." Samantha's curves showed up again on the screen in the tub and it made him emit a low noise.

She smirked. "Y'all should have had real women in your videos all along. It looks much hotter," she crossed her arms cutely.

The scene switched to Justin and Ashley and JC made a face. "I thought they were cutting some of these parts."

Sam laughed softly, "It fades into him holding her."

"I need to see this again," he said, hitting the replay button.

"The world gets to watch you and I experience all these emotions, wow." she whispered.

"This was the beginning. You weren't even mine yet," he smiled softly, pulling her into his arms. "I'm gonna get all the footage from the director."

She smiled, looking at him. "You made me yours that night," she leaned into him even more, sighing softly. Watching them connected the way they were on the screen made their relationship seem even more real. It was funny to her because all of her reservations about being with him centered around being used only for the video, and how she thought that would be the end of their relationship. But here it was, on the screen for everyone to see.

He leaned in to kiss along her neck, keeping his eyes on the TV. He mumbled, "I was yours before we even shot this video..."

She tilted her head and watched them at the gala again, and out in the rain. She sighed softly. "You're right Josh."

He watched them making eye contact, and how the chemistry was natural but the innocent tension filled the entire video. "I've never looked at a woman the way I look at you."

She smiled and nodded, "I'll be real. That look in my eyes during the video was so real. I had never been so attracted to a man in my life the way I was with you in the rain and in that tub. It was insane."

"Ughh. And you played so damn hard to get Samantha," he laughed, "I was confused and then convinced."

She laughed softly. "I was confused at the gala, honestly I thought this whole thing was a set up for Justin to get Ashley back and that's it."

He grinned, "Nono, see, THIS move is more like he wants to get her back. The gala was very real. We kept being at the same places, it was fate."

She smiled and leaned in to kiss along his jaw again, just as video JC began to sing over her chest. "The gala was very real. That's why I was confused. I liked spending time with you and wanted to make sure you liked me too."

"Ugh baby," he sighed, "If you had any idea how much I felt for you from the jump." He kinda fell back into the bed with her again, just looking at her, studying her eyes. Watching the playback of the video just reassured him that he was pretty much in love with her.

She looked at him with a smile. "On a scale of 1-10, how likely are you to say yes to dancing with me right now?" She was taken back to the first night they met, licking her lips.

He laughed, getting the cutest grin on his face. "Ehhh, maybe a 7 or 8?"

She giggled, "Check yes or no please." She leaned up and kissed him softly.

"Mmm, yes. Very much yes," he said, leaning in to kiss on her. They were interrupted by a knock and a call out of "Room Service!"

She smiled on his lips, "Mmm. Go get that please," she grinned. "Nourishment."

JC shuffled off to the door, bringing the cart into the living area. In front of the giant fireplace, there was a small table with two chairs. "Gonna make sure you're nice and fed before you leave me."

She laughed softly. "Not gonna be a problem. Feed me baby, and I'll return the favor."

He took a piece of bacon and held it up to her lips. "Like really feed you?" he grinned, "Because I can do that."

She smiled and nodded a little. "Mmm," she took his nibble and grinned, reaching for a forkful of waffle and holding it up to his lips. "Because I can do it too."

He smirked but stopped to take the bite from her, he couldn't stop looking at her as he was chewing and swallowed. He put a strawberry to her lips, not saying a word, just watching and following through.

She smiled as she took the nibble of the strawberry. These exchanges went on for a lazy half hour; forkfuls of food, nibbles of fruit, bits and pieces of bacon. Little hums of satisfaction and lazy smiles of sated eyes were passed between the two of them, a quiet comfort that was in stark contrast to the heated passion that had occurred over the last 48 hours.

Sam held a piece of waffle up to his lips with a caramel sauce, watching his little smile. Her heart was beating in a fluttering rhythm, and a feeling of trust she hadn't felt with a man since it had been ripped away from her so many years ago was settling over her entire body. She knew that her heart was being given up to him, no question about it.

He took a bite of the waffle and swallowed it slowly. "I think I'm falling in love with you," he said softly, almost afraid to trust his voice.

She smiled softly as she brought her eyes up to really study him. She nodded slightly as she watched him. "You're making it hard not to fall."

He smiled, taking a moment to relish in the words he just said and the way he was feeling, not to mention the admiration in her eyes. "That's all I'm going to say about it for now. I just wanted you to know how I was feeling before you left." He reached for a bite of bacon on his own.

She offered him a smile in return, not sure that any words needed to be said. She leaned over and pulled her coffee over, taking a long sip. She breathed in the smell of the French press coffee, letting it fill her veins, coupled with all of the feelings she was having.

JC looked over at her and smiled, grabbing his coffee as well. He sat back, sipping his coffee, watching her with a light smile. They must have sat that way for at least five minutes, before he softly said, "This video coming out early could change some things in the schedule."

She looked over at him. "Well, just tell me where I need to be to have you, and I'll be there. No questions asked." She smirked.

He laughed really low, "So if I told you to fly to Los Angeles because I needed you in my bed?"

She smirked, bumping her hip against his as they sat. "If I could fly in, be in your bed, then fly off to wherever, I would in a heartbeat, Josh."

He grinned. "Just wanted to keep that option out there," He took another waffle and broke off a piece to hold against her lips.

"Keeping that open," she giggled softly, taking a bite. "I'm looking forward to our vacation already you know."

"I booked it already," he licked his lips, "When you fell asleep last night. But I'm not telling you where," he grinned so hard.

"I love being surprised, so I won't press the issue," she smiled, licking her lips.

He took his coffee and brought it to his lips, taking a moment to watch her closely. "Hey Samantha? Can you promise me something?"

She tilted her head, smiling as she looked back up at him from her coffee cup. "Of course, sweetheart."

"Promise me to let me know if you're ever getting upset with me. Or if I said anything that might have hurt your feelings even when we are thousands of miles apart. I know I can get myself into trouble, but I value this relationship so much that I always want to be able to fix and create a solution if something is wrong. And long distance is really, really hard sometimes."

She smiled and nodded, looking carefully into his eyes as he spoke. "Long distance sucks. But I promise that I will always be honest when something is wrong. And I know it's going to be difficult because we both have needs. If yours aren't being met, talk to me about it. We can find a way. That's how there are so many problems with faithfulness in relationships."

He sighed. "Honestly, Samantha, that's been my issue in relationships. I'm working on myself, damnit, and I want to try for us."

She touched his face after putting her coffee down on the table. "I'm willing to try with you, Josh. It's not going to be easy. But I think we're worth it."

He shook his head, then rested his hand over hers on his face. "I know I keep saying this, but I don't know what the hell I did to deserve you." He closed his eyes and sighed, "All of the shit I've put other people through, I don't deserve someone who is patient with me and willing to put up with me."

"Josh, look at me." she took their hands down so she could interlock their fingers. "I think you're amazing. I don't care about the past. I wouldn't exactly rate myself with the best relationship track record either. You've treated me with more respect and love that I've had from a few of my past boyfriends in just the last few months. I know we're not going to be perfect,we're going to fight and all of that shit. It happens."

He smirked slightly, it turned into a little upturned grin. "And you know what's gonna happen when we fiiiiight..."

She laughed, hitting him softly. "You really think we need any more passion? I don't know if I'll be able to walk after that."

He smirked."About that... not sorry." He licked his lips.

Sam's alarm went off on the table near them and she looked at her phone, sighing softly. "My car is on its way Josh. I need to go."

He brought his forehead against hers. "I'm not ready to say goodbye yet." He let a small kiss linger on her lips.

She smiled a bit, sliding off of her chair onto his lap. "Well... it's not goodbye. He's still a few minutes away," she nipped at his lip. "I do need to get dressed in order to fly back to New York though." She rose from his lap, walking from the living area into the bedroom to find her suitcase. JC sat in his chair, his eyes glued on her the entire time.

Sam pulled her hair into two messy pigtail braids, stealing JC's Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap to wear on top of her head. A cozy green sweater and black leggings went on, with her favorite knee high black boots. As she zipped up her suitcase and wheeled it out into the living room, JC continued to stare. He grinned when he saw his hat on her head. "Uh, where did you get that little lady?"

She grinned, "I didn't think you'd mind letting me borrow it."

"Anything you want, mama, it's yours to keep." He smirked. "You look hot in it. C'mere." He stood up, walking to meet her in the middle of the room. He took both of her hands. "Samantha Bentley," he smiled, "Thank you for agreeing to come to Napa with me."

"Are you crazy?" she laughed softly, squeezing his hands. "Thank you for springing this idea on me a few weeks ago. This was way more fun than whatever else I would have done for the New Year."

"It's been years since I've asked a woman to go away with me like this. I was really nervous that everything would go right," he smiled softly.

"This cottage was beautiful and elegant and you, my sweetheart, were the best company I could have asked for." She rubbed her thumb against his cheek.

The sound of tires hitting the gravel were heard outside of the windows. JC closed his eyes tightly. The last time he heard those tires, their long weekend was beginning and he had the feeling of anticipatory butterflies. Now, he was just left with a heart longing for the woman standing in front of him.

"That's my ride," she said softly, giving his hands another tight squeeze. "Walk me outside?"

JC reached behind her for her suitcase and garment bag and took her hand in his as they walked outside. The afternoon sun shined down on the black town car and the driver gave them both a polite smile as he took Samantha's suitcases and put them in the trunk.

"Good afternoon Ms. Bentley," the driver said politely, opening the back door for her.

JC sucked in a deep breath and pulled both of his arms around Samantha. "Goodbye, beautiful," he said softly.

Sam whispered, trying hard to fight back her tears. "Not goodbye. See you later... I'll be counting down the moments until I see you again Joshua Scott." She buried her head in his chest and embraced him tightly.

"Hopefully even sooner," he whispered into her hair. "Will you call me when you get to Oakland? Then call me when you get home? I just need to know you make it safely."

She nodded, hugging him with a little sigh. "I will. Don't be surprised if I get on the Internet on the plane and send you annoying messages." She laughed softly, to avoid the tears that continued to fight her.

He pulled away slightly to look down at her, smiling at her glassy eyes. "Oh Samantha Bentley, you'll never annoy me. I'll be waiting. I'm flying back to LA tonight, missing you the entire time."

She leaned up slightly, capturing her lips with his. He opened and closed his lips over hers, completely overtaking the kiss he began to initiate. His hands went up to her face as he let every ounce of emotions he was feeling out in this kiss. He wanted to leave her with something she wouldn't forget.

She pulled away slowly to breathe, and looked up at him with slightly widened eyes and a smile. "You always know how to do that to me."

He grinned. "I'm learning you well, Ms. Bentley. Be safe on your trip. See you soon. Your man will be waiting for you." He let out a soft sigh and brushed his lips against hers once more before he helped her into the back of the town car.

As she drove away, he stood with his hands in his pockets, watching until he could no longer see the town car. He shuffled his feet back into the guest house and grabbed his guitar, bringing it over to the couch.

He sat and began to strum, a melody taking over. He had been so lost in Samantha all weekend, and this melody had been playing at his mind with no time to capture it.

He softly began to sing along with his chords, "I'm electric, finally exposed, you see through me, strip off all my clothes, if this is falling then let me go.... Oh..."

He smiled softly, letting the comforting words and melody of the song ease his aching heart. Oh, was he counting down the hours until he could hold her again.
