Chapter 1

August 15th, 2000

Orlando, Florida

13:04 p.m.

JC walked slowly to the door of the apartment to see who was looking for him. When he opened the door he found a familiar face in front of him.

"Hello Joshua…"

"Hi" he said surprised, "what are you doing here?"

"May I come in?" the woman asked

"Yeah, yeah, of course, come in" he said letting her go inside the apartment, "what can I do for you?"

"I need to talk to you about something important"

JC’s attention was only the little kid who was with her.

"Before we speak… do you have anything for Matt… I mean… so he can play meanwhile…"

"Yes… sure… I have some teddy bears and some stuffs…"

"Awesome"

"Follow me"

13:12 p.m.

JC and the woman went to living room and sat on a couch.

"Wow, Nyah… it’s been long, long time…"

"It’s been years, Joshua"

"You’re right… hmm… so… what you want to talk about?"

"Oh yes…hmm… well, is just… I need your help"

"And… how can I help you?"

"With… money" Nyah said looking down

"And… why do you ask me that? … I mean… you know I will, but why?"

"Well… I know you can help me… and… considering that you and I still have…" she stopped and stared him, "you can’t imagine how hard to me is to tell you this"

"Just say it…"

"Well… considering that we still have something that will never break us apart…" JC interrupted her.

"Wait… wait… what do you mean? What thing is that?"

"Matt…" Nyah said talking about the little child.

September 10th, 1994

Orlando, Florida

16:54 pm

"I’m glad you came to see me" JC said hugging her girlfriend

"Yeah... I’m very happy to see you too"

"I missed you so much, Nyah"

"And I missed you too…" she said before he kissed him

JC put his arms on Nyah’s waist and she put her hands behind his head. They were both 18 years old. They met each other long time ago... more than 8 years.

"I love you…” JC said while they we’re kissing and he closed her to him

“What are you doing, Josh?” she asked falling apart

“Why?” he asked laughing

“I’m not silly, Josh, I know what you want” she whispered

“Then let’s go to my room…” he said kissing her neck.

Nyah was two days with JC in Orlando, then she came back to Maryland.

October 16th, 1994

Bowie, Maryland

13:15 pm

Nyah got into her house en rested her body in the wall. She felt really bad and she was dizzy. Her mother, Samantha, went out of the kitchen when she heard the door and saw Nyah like that.

“Nyah? Are you ok?”

“Yeah, is just… I got a little dizzy…”

“You got dizzy?”

“Yeah… but don’t worry, I’m fine… is dad at home?”

“No…”

“Can we talk about something? It’s important”

“Sure… let’s go to the kitchen”

She had to tell her mother what was going on, who else could she tell her? She was not only her mother, she was her friend too, and Nyah wasn’t scared of telling her what was happening. They entered to the kitchen and sat.

“Mom, I’m pregnant”
