Author's Response: Yeah, I was feeling real sad as I wrote her confession because I was just trying to get into her mindset and be in her shoes. But now that Selah's at least talked to her sister about it, it's time for her to take the steps to get out of this mess and I think her and Justin starting over is going to give her that chance. Ok...That's all well and good. Friends..Though Justin should have to be left hanging a bit I think. He WAS a pretty big asshole. *shrug* He made Selah feel pretty horrible about herself.
As long as they can keep it at the friends level with Nick and Jessica in their lives. Otherwise, they'll be right back to square one.

Author's Response: Yes, I think friendship is the most appropriate area for them to be in right now because it's definitely time for these two to dig deeper and get to know each other for something more than their bodies. Author's Response: I feel what you're saying and where you're coming from. I agree that Selah should have been stronger and smarter about her decisions when it came to getting involved with Justin and I think she tried to do so, but went about it in a messed up way that kind of made her look selfish. But at the same time I feel that since she doesn't have a lot of experience in the whole "relationship/male" area, she got herself involved in a very shitty situation and didn't really know how to get herself out of it on her own and I think Justin stepping up to the plate and suggesting that they start over as friends is going to give her that opportunity. I think the two of them starting over is going to get her to look at things, put them into perspective and help figure out what and who she wants in life because you're right, she doesn't know herself very well and that's why she keeps getting into these messes. Also, confessing to her sister I think was her cry for help because it's obvious that she's needs some outside assistance and guidance. As for breaking up with Nick...well they're even officially dating or anything, they're just involved with each other so Selah could easily break things off with him if she wanted to. But something tells me that Nick isn't going to make it easy for her to do so. Thank you SO much for reading and reviewing, I love your reviews...they make me think (haha).

Even though it came out really wrong, I think what Justin meant by that comment was that it would look weird (particularly to the people who know them and are around them right now) if he dumped Jessica all of a sudden and then started dating Selah. But it also poses the question that if they were to start dating, could Selah handle Justin's lifestyle? Could she handle being in the spotlight, the paps, the constant traveling, etc.? It's obvious that Selah wasn't thinking about all of that when she blurted that out and was trying to do the right thing. You have touched on a lot of great topics like some of the other readers and one of those is Selah being strong and standing her ground. You are so right about her needing to calm down and really take time to evaluate each situation with each guy. I told another reader that I think Selah has a hard time distinguishing lust from what's real because she's not used to having her feelings being reciprocated and since she doesn't want Nick or Justin to stop caring or liking her, she's going to do what has to do to keep it that way, even if it may be wrong. But Selah is going to see the error of her ways for real in this next chapter because the lying and sneaking around is going to start taking a toll on her. You're also right about Justin because he does know what he's doing and like I've said before, he's being a selfish person right now by trying to have a relationship and Selah on the side. But even he's going to see that the two of them need to slow down and reevaluate their situation because it is not working.
