THIS STORY SET THE BAR sooooo HIGH!! Ugh, one of my absolute favorites in general--fanfiction/nonfanfiction, etc. So descriptive and engaging, and it pulled me away from reality for a while. Wonderful job!
Okay so it has been a LOOOONG time since I have practically stayed up all night reading a story. I did with this one and absolutely loved it. The characters and story line were great, as well as your characterization of Justin. Loved it!!
Author's Response: Wow thank you so much! I'm always so humbled when people tell me they've stayed up to continue reading. It's nerdy but your time is valuable and sleep is important, so coffee is on me haha. Welcome back to the community!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm half ass working on some stuff right now. I kind of got out of writing mode so I dunno when or if it will ever be finished. And Kudos to you for rereading this beast of a story haha.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad that the story still holds up even in rereads.
right now this story is exactally what im going through in life. I had a son 2 months ago, and i started reading this story right before i had him. what your writing is what im going thru with his father. he has a gf, n hes cheated on her with me. yeah hes scared to leave her and allow us to become a family and raise our son together. its just so crazy on how your story is just so real life for me. its helped me out a few times on letting him know how im feeling and what im thinking. thank you for writing...
Author's Response: Wow I'm sorry you're going through such a sucky time. I'm glad reading this could help you out in someway though. *hugs*
Author's Response: Sorry about that. This story caused me some sleep deprivation as well haha. As for the awards I was kind of flabbergasted. I figured, especially since WIPs were eligable in most catagories this time around, that this story wouldn't win much just because it was completed and everyone who had read it was finished with it. So it was a wonderful surprise. Glad you enjoyed the story and thanks for taking the time to read and review!
Author's Response: Wow thank you so much for taking the time to read. There won't be a sequel but I will be doing companion shorts (like the one I posted). Just stay tuned!
Author's Response: This was the moment that I'd been waiting for the entire time I was writing this story. I was really excited to see everyone's reactions to it haha.
Author's Response: I have a few little one-shots planned but there won't be a full on sequel. This story was long enough haha. Stay tuned I'm sure I'll eventually kick my butt into gear and write more of these two. Thanks for reading and reviewing!!!
Author's Response: YAY I'm glad you got a chance to read and that you liked the ending! Thanks for being a long time reader and for all your awesome reviews!
Author's Response: YAY I'm glad you liked the ending. This story was such a mountain and conquering it was rough but I'm very happy with the outcome and really ecstatic that you guys are as well. I'm glad you're loving the characters and hopefully we'll hear more from these guys. Thanks so much for reading all this time and for your wonderful reviews!
Author's Response: I just couldn't leave these two apart. They have too much potential to be perfect for each other haha. Thank you so so much for reading and keeping up with me all this time. I think that you've reviewed on every chapter of this story and that really means a lot. There will be more from me! Thanks for reading and reviewing!!!
So, I left a review on the last chapter not realizing there was an epilogue. haha.
That being said...I LOVE how you chose to end this. It really feels like he's come full circle back to his real self. He's home again. It gives me the warm fuzzies.
I have a theory about why we all write him returning to music in our stories. It's not because we miss his music, even though we do...I think it's because we all think that's where his heart truly is--where he probably feels the most at home. When he's on stage it is impossible to tear your eyes away from him...he's so talented it hurts.
Anyway...my apologies for the tangent there. LOVED IT!
Author's Response: Yeah I was going to scrap the epilogue (really just because I liked the idea of closing the story with "roll the fuckin' credits" haha) but my editor insisted that it was important and kind of forced me to write it and I'm glad she did. Because when I was done I realized that it was important to show Justin and Charlotte happy. And that's SO TRUE what you said about us all writing him coming back to music. He's good at a lot of things but music is where he REALLY shines. Thanks for reading and reviewing!!!
